Empowered Beginnings Doula Support was a dream of mine many years ago that I am fortunate to now see to fruition. I am truly grateful and honored for this opportunity to share this incredible time with you and look forward to meeting you. I am a certified, community-based doula. My fees are negotiable if you do not have insurance or your insurance does not cover doula support.
I am a Medicaid provider and accept Aetna, Molina, McLaren, Meridian and United Health Care insurance plans.
NEW!!!-Employer sponsored United Health Care is now covering doula support. Check with your insurance to see if you have this benefit.

What is a doula?
A doula is a non-medical trained person that provides evidence based information and resources, emotional and physical support to a birthing person before, during and just after childbirth, even if you have a scheduled C-section, a doula can provide birth support.

Gwen - Your Trusted Doula
I have lived in SW Michigan my whole life. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and fur baby mom. I have worked with all ages of children for many years. I enjoy being outdoors and being active. I look forward to serving families in Berrien and Van Buren counties.
I have completed my training with the Commonsense Childbirth Institute in the JJ Way as a community-based doula.
Attended Spinning Babies Workshop 3/26.
